Deployment

My husband, Cpl Jones (Zach), served in the United States Marine Corps from January 2009 to January 2013. He received orders to deploy in 2010 and spent the majority of 2011 serving in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. During that time, I posted deployment updates weekly/semi-weekly to chronicle our military life and share a glimpse of deployments with the rest of the world.

  6. I found your blog while searching for things about 1/9. My husband just transferred from Kings Bay, GA to 1/9 last month. Altho they wouldn't move me with him because I am active duty Navy and still stationed here in Ga. I love your blogs about his deployment and it makes this whole situation much better for me. It's comforting to know that you guys lasted through his entire enlistment being apart. He better know how lucky he is to find someone that will go through that with him. Good luck in your future together. :)
